From November 1 to 10, 2025, the artists' collective qujOchÖ will transform the public space of Linz into a poster festival – a temporary stage for artistic expressions, cultural initiatives, and social visibility. Under the title PLAKATropolis, poster artworks will be displayed in unexpected locations throughout the city, simultaneously drawing attention to the increasingly strictly regulated postering laws that hinder free, artistic visibility in urban spaces. While commercial outdoor advertising is omnipresent, free legal spaces for art and culture remain scarce and contested.

PLAKATropolis understands the poster as a medium for urban creativity and free expression, focusing attention on the importance of public space as a place for dialogue and cultural diversity.

The opening will take place on Saturday, 1 November at 16:00 at LENTOS Freiraum and continuing at 19:00 at SIRUP with posters, drinks and music. A full list of locations and further information will be available soon here.
