Sagra al Wirtshaus

Sat. 24 August 2024, 16:00

In Italy, Sagra means a folk festival characterized by food, good company, good music, good bruschetta, and red and white checkered placemats. Have you ever been to a Sagra? More importantly, have you ever been to a Sagra in the home of Wiener Schnitzel? Is this perhaps the occasion? Could it be the pretext of the crossover with a cozy garden into an outdoor cinema called “gartenquinÖ” to give us a chance to recreate the Sagra’s atmosphere of love, food and cinema?

Formerly known as “Dreaming of the Swamp,” the new “gartenquinÖ” transforms our cozy garden into an open-air cinema in August. Starting at 18:00, enjoy late brunch, live beats, and only the best vibes, followed by cinematic delights at 20:30.

Screening: ROMAN HOLIDAY / (US 1953), English with German subtitles, 118 minutes
Overwhelmed by her suffocating schedule, touring European princess Ann (Audrey Hepburn) takes off for a night while in Rome. When a sedative she took from her doctor kicks in, however, she falls asleep on a park bench and is found by an American reporter, Joe Bradley (Gregory Peck), who takes her back to his apartment for safety. At work the next morning, Joe finds out Ann’s regal identity and bets his editor he can get exclusive interview with her, but romance soon gets in the way.
